Set in a 19th century Victorian village, this animated film follows the story of Victor, a young man drawn into the underworld where he is married to a mysterious dead bride. Meanwhile, his real bride - Victoria - awaits him in the real world. And although life in the land of the dead proves to be far more colourful than his strict Victorian upbringing, Victor concludes that there is nothing in this or any other worlds to keep him apart from his true love.
