The main guest of the 19th edition of Fest Anča, Boris Labbé has created works presented around the world – in contemporary art exhibitions, audiovisual concerts, and at international film festivals such as Annecy, the Semaine de la Critique in Cannes, and the Venice International Film Festival. His work explores the energies of Eros and Thanatos – in Greek mythology, principles of creation and destruction, of return into stillness – as well as cycles, collages, patterns, and repetition. From constant recurrence emerges a world in motion, continuously taking new forms until it eventually dissolves and is reborn again. Chaos here does not appear as something negative, but as a source of creative force and multiplicity, capable not only of setting worlds in motion but of dismantling the entire algorithm.
