A lecture by the civic association Hoaxes and fraud focuses on disinformation as part of the broader system of hybrid threats — examining the goals, characteristics, and levels of disinformation in the Slovak information space. It also addresses the risks of social media as catalysts of disinformation, the tactics of manipulators, and the most common disinformation narratives and conspiracy theories. Finally, it offers a simple guide on how to distinguish disinformation and its sources from reliable sources of facts and information online, on social networks, or in everyday conversations with family, friends, colleagues, or classmates.
